Negative Propaganda
During the WWII era, negative propaganda was used to target their opponent whose history or their way of campaigning could be used against them. The main reason of what caused negative propaganda was the tension rising between countries. Negative propaganda was huge in changing people's perception of things such as the first election for president. It was used for what some people called a "mindless army". Television was a weakness for negative propaganda. Commercials would run daily for both sides of the candidate party. Name calling was big in comics used for entertainment as well, but not directly towards politics. To express negative propaganda thick lines and were used just like the picture to the right.

Positive Propaganda
During the WWII era people viewed positive propaganda just as important as any other WWII weapon. All positive propaganda included: posters, pamphlets, newsreels, radio shows, and movies. All of these were war effort. All artists, filmmakers, and children were used in the listed propaganda above to turn it into a campaign. Positive propaganda was used for recruiting for the war, finance, and conservation. The Link below shows an example of positive propaganda with Rosie the Riveter.
